    You have heard it before, an inmate being “up for parole.”  Perhaps what you do not know is that this traditional way of sentencing offender went away.

    Most people, have a vague idea of what this means.  On TV this scene typically happens in a courtroom and it’s said by the person on trial who is refusing to say anything else.

    Police have used fingerprint evidence to catch and convict criminals for more than 100 years.  Specifically, latent fingerprint analysis is the method where an analyst compares an unknown fingerprint (latent print) recovered from some part of a crime scene, item, or other source and compares it to a known print. 


  • The absolute most important thing to remember if you are arrested is that you have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.  These rights, however, only protect you if you use them!  If you are arrested, the single best thing that you can do for yourself is to keep quiet until you are represented by a lawyer.
